Pilaf With Chicken (Tavuklu Pilav)
Ingredients
- 1 small cup of rice
- 1 tablespoon of grated cheddar or kashar (kasar) cheese
- 2 small cups of water
- one 120 gram chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 small grated onion
- a pinch of sweet basil
- 3 or 4 spring onions
Directions
Cut the chicken breasts into slices and boil them. Put the rice in a saucepan and boil with 2 cups of water until water is absorbed. Strain the chicken, put it in a saucepan with onions, garlic and basil and fry for 10 minutes. Add the rice and fry for 3 minutes, Add the cheese and serve.
